WhatsApp is developing the new redesigned in-app camera feature for Android and iOS users. According to a report the Meta owned instant messaging platform is releasing the 2.22.1.2 beta update for Android. This update will be available through the Google play Beta program. The new WhatsApp feature is reportedly redesigning in-app camera in a future update.

As per the WABetaInfo the feature tracker of WhatsApp that the WhatsApp’s in-app camera feature will also get a new user interface along with redesigned Flash and Switch camera buttons. WhatsApp new Redesigned in-app camera

Recently WhatsApp had launched the beta for Android version 2.22.1.1 update in which the platform has announced that WhatsApp team was working on a feature that allows group admins to delete any message for everyone in groups. The new redesigned in-app camera feature will be available in a future update. This effort from the WhatsApp team seems to be a good start. Now the recent it release 2.22.1.2 beta update tells us about the in-app camera.

The platform is working on a redesigning for the in-app camera for a coming update. As per the preview available in the report, you can clearly see the difference of the new redesign with the interface you are currently using. The new in-app camera will look quite like the one on Apple iPhone. The Flash button and switch camera button will be redesigned which is already available for Android iOS devices.

At present on Android the Flash button is at the bottom left corner of the screen and the switch camera button is at the bottom right. According to the preview available the Flash button will be shifted to the top right corner. With this new design you will also be able to open the recent media by tapping the image placed at the bottom left corner. Previously WhatsApp had released beta UWP 2.2148.3.7.

In this update the company added new emojis to the app. This new redesigned in-app camera feature is still under development so it yet not available to the public. However WhatsApp has plans to release it in a future update. The company has made no official announcement regarding the release date as this could take a while.
