WhatsApp rolling out new Emoji Shortcuts

WhatsApp is rolling out new Emoji Shortcuts for Universal Windows Platform. This update has submitted through the official beta channel available on the Microsoft store. With this update the version reaches up to 2.2206.1.0. As per reports in this update the platform is introducing shortcuts for emojis. Now you will be able to look for particular emojis based on the keywords typed by you.

You all will agree that emojis are the most attractive part of any chat. It spices up your conversation. Though emojis are not new but they have been very popular among the users globally. So the developers team is introducing Emoji Shortcuts for WhatsApp UWP users in this update.

In a previous beta update WhatsApp introduced the dark theme, one of the most expected feature for Universal Windows Platform. The beta testers can try out the stylish dark mode with the previous update. In the current WhatsApp beta UWP update the platform is reportedly releasing one more useful feature which brings you new short cuts for emojis.

In the released screenshot by WABetaInfo you can see that when you type particular keywords affixed with a colon, all the emojis those are related to that keyword will automatically show up. To be specific type ‘ : ‘ first and then type the keyword. For example if you type ‘Hel’, the hand wave emoji, helmet emoji, SOS or help emoji and the helicopter emojis will show up.

This will help you to avoid the long search through all the emoji list to find your suitable emoji. This similar feature is already enabled for WhatsApp web/Desktop users from a long time. But it was not available in the UWP version. Now it is enabled in the recent beta build. You don’t need any kind of activation to use this feature. Just go to the Microsoft store and update the latest WhatsApp version.
